Taitung is a county surrounded by mountains and Kuai-mu Junior High School is the leading school to promote mountain education. This study aimed to discuss the process to promote mountain education in Kuai-mu junior high school in Taitung County, and the methods of observation, interview and document analysis were used for research. The research results are as follows: The concrete course contents of mountain education: the course contents of mountain education promoted in Kuai-mu junior high school are designed according to difficulty of different steps; it can be broadly divided into three main parts: pre-departure course, course during the activity, course after activity. Operation mode for the promotion of mountain education: in the earlier period, the mountain education method operated by school is relatively crude; recently, the rating system has been implemented and gradually become mature, but there is still room for improvement. For the construction of a complete module course of mountain education, it is necessary to go through funding request, preparation before activity, operation during the activity, ending of activity, etc.Effect and effectiveness for the promotion of mountain education: based on the three parts of difficulties and troubles encountered, change and effectiveness after participation and the motivation and evaluation of participating in mountain education, the effect of mountain education on students and teachers as well as its effectiveness are discussed.
