A-B-A withdrawal design in single subject research was used in this study, including baseline, intervention and maintenance phases. The participant was one student from a certain elementary school of Penghu County. A form for attention observation was used to record the participant’s expression at different phases. The data were analyzed by visual analysis and simplified time-series analysis. The pre-test and post-test were conducted by Multidimensional Attention Test, and interviewed the parents and the teachers to establish social validity. The findings of this study were as follows: 1. Aerobics teaching had immediate positive effect on attention of students with mental retardation in elementary school. 2. Aerobics teaching had retaining effect on attention of students with mental retardation in elementary school. 3. Aerobics teaching showed good social validity.
