These suffer-ing could not be quantified, nor be compared. The perplexity of the suffering and physical pain are unique and lonely. Therefore, facing the truth of searching for salvation from despair and seeking definition of one’s own existing value became a necessary process. In Lin Pei-Jen's body of artwork from 2010 to 2015, the existence of suffering and salvation began with the artist's encounter with other people’s painful experiences, as the artist could not break into the predicament herself, she then found the meaning of her own existence in Christianity as the record of life course of Redemption. This paper took in Jean-Paul Sartre's (1905-1980) Existentialism and the basis of Bible's creation which explores the value of the existence of mankind and the meaning of suffering and salvation. Moreover, the artist through discussion on the art creation and the analysis of each work in order to clarify her inner desire of the original creation and try to have dialogue with Existentialism、Bible and art history.
