碩士 === 國立臺灣藝術大學 === 中國音樂學系 === 105 === The pipa traditional military suite Ambush from All Sides is one of the classical pipa repertoires with long history. So far, the piece has been passed down with many different versions, and is presented by variant performing forms. The author aims to deeply probe into related backgrounds concerning the piece, to figure out definition of transplanted work, and to build an exclusively transplanted version of Ambush from All Sides for Liuqin to discuss influences and importance of transplanted works towards the artistic development of Liuqin music. The study, firstly, took a literature review on the piece Ambush from All Sides concerning related researches, different versions from different schools as well as pipa performing skills, and then went back to review Liuqin music to integrate all the repertories of Liuqin to figure out the contributions and meanings of transplanted works for Liuqin music. Secondly, through interviewing Taiwanese Liuqin performers who are also the adapter, it elaborated the backgrounds of transplantation, the performing interpretations and ideas while transplanting, and the future expectations. Finally, based on the analysis of the transplanted piece Ambush from All Sides, it worked on musical analyses, interpretations, trying to build replicable or new performing skills while practicing pipa skills on liuqin, and provided a reference for future study. Liuqin has a history about 60 years since it’s been reformed as a solo instrument, and accumulated nearly 152 repertories; however, more half of them are seldom performed as regular repertories that has promoted Liuqin performers to transplant pieces of other instruments for innovation, and forms one of the methods to enrich the diversity of Liuqin music; this pattern thus makes influences on recent composing styles and directions for Liuqin works, and brings out new developing space for Liuqin music. In conclusion, when it comes to performance, techniques and educations of liuqin music, these transplanted works do enhance the difficulties of performing skills, strengthen musical tensions and enrich musical styles of liuqin music, lifting liuqin arts to link with the world, and present a refreshing liuqin new music.
