The fast and rapid development of communication and technology encourage the company to seek external knowledge by collaborating with their partner in order to enhance its performance, especially in innovation. Innovation makes the company to be able to stay in business and compete with competitors through the development of new products and processes or services. Thus, maintain a bonded and strong relationship while sharing information and exchanging knowledge with corporate partner is crucial and vital for the innovativeness of the company. Although the cooperation among company can organize information access and knowledge flows from external network, it is infrequently studied in the supply chain management perspective. Proper knowledge exchange activities in the supply chain are essential, as the flow of knowledge plays an important role involved in a rapidly evolving and complex environment in order for the company to innovate and survive. By building a confessional study, we suggest that strong and close interfirm relationships enable companies to achieve better service innovation through exchanging and sharing information and knowledge with corporate partners. Quantitative methodologies were used in this study to explore frameworks in structural and individual perspectives. Data samples were collected from manufacturing companies in Indonesia. Smart PLS 3.2 is used to analyze the construct and hypothesis of the research. Furthermore, the results show that well-established relationships between firms will impact on sufficient quantities of some types of knowledge flows that can be used as a provision to build innovative ideas in the services sector. In conclusion, this study is a new model that can illustrate the close relationship between firms and their impact on information and knowledge flows in the supply chain as a tool to enhance organizational performance, especially in service innovation.
