| Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺灣科技大學 === 營建工程系 === 105 === The concept of quality management in curtain wall is inadequate and overlooked in Taiwan. The system of design examination is unsound. The quality control of materials and construction is not implemented authentically. The responsibility of construction interface is unclear. Moreover, the maintenance system is not established. All the problems mentioned above lead to difficulty in quality improvement and negative effects on performance and safety of curtain wall. It’s crucial to correct the defects.
In view of the imperfection of domestic quality management system for curtain wall, this study discusses current situations of curtain wall projects, relevant performance standards and regulations by reviewing literature. The common problems encountered in current curtain wall projects in stages of planning, designing, manufacturing, installation and maintenance are investigated through interviewing the owners, institutions and design units. Curtain wall projects with something wrong in the process are collected and discussed. Some solutions and methods of prevention from errors are raised by analyzing the problems case by case. This study aims to provide countermeasures to improve the quality management system which brings about better quality of curtain wall construction.
