Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立高雄大學 === 資訊工程學系碩士班 === 105 === IEEE 802.11 devices contend with each other for transmission opportunity in the Media Access Control (MAC) layer. In case of frequency spatial reuse, such a contention may significantly degrade the throughput of some devices, reducing the degree of fairness. This thesis proposes a method to adjust Contention Windows (CW) based on connectivity information obtained by exchanging “HELLO” message. The objective is to improve throughput fairness. Experimental results show that fairness index improves with the proposed adjustment when compared with the original IEEE 802.11 MAC.
