Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立聯合大學 === 環境與安全衛生工程學系碩士班 === 104 === Seven types of commercially prismatic lithium-ion batteries used in smart phones were performed under full-charged states to run through thermal runaway by confinement tests. These lithium-ion batteries are :Apple IPHONE5, Apple IPHONE6, SONY Z3, SONY C3, SAMSUNG S5, SAMSUNG NOTE3 and REDMI2. Experimental data such as exothermic onset temperature, maximum self-heat rate and exothermic max temperature were measured and compared. The exothermic onset temperatures were measured in the range from 139℃to 188℃. All the detected maximum temperatures of thermal runaway were above 450˚C which exceeded various auto-ignition temperatures of organic carbonates used as electrolytes. The maximum self-heat rates of prismatic lithium-ion batteries was determined in the ranged from 2435.0˚Cmin-1 to 11860.0 ˚Cmin-1.
