Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立聯合大學 === 客家語言與傳播研究所 === 105 === Marriage is very important in one’s life, not only proclaiming the establishment of a new family, but also representing the continuation of the clan and the beginning of inheriting its culture. Therefore, a wedding should be held prudently in accordance with enlightenment and different rituals of both parties to complete this significant life event. Wedding ceremony is regarded grand with profound culture significance hidden under many seemingly redundant rituals. This research focused on the Hakka Tung Flower Marriage held by Miaoli County government in the past few years, studying participants' personal experiences and the purpose of the event organizer with literature review, in-depth interviews and a questionnaire survey from the concept of "Presentation" proposed by anthropologists. Cultural presentation is the best promotion of ethnic cultural characteristics. Nostalgia is the reason why the Tung Flower Marriage is held at a Hakka village. When one follows the historical path and "return to the past," the stories of Tung flowers in a Hakka village show the marks of Hakka's traditional life and their economic rise and fall. These marks are cleverly incorporated into Hakka wedding rituals, and through performing these rituals, what unique Hakka images are shaped in Hakka Tung Flower Marriage? What creative ideas reinforce the features of a Hakka wedding? When people experience and see the significance and the value of characteristics in folk festivals, they will be touched; a cultural representation of Hakka Image is constructed. This research found participants in the Hakka Tung Flower Marriage form their own unique memories. Tung Flower Marriage based on the idea of Tung Flower creates new aesthetics of Taiwan’s Hakka culture, shaking the hearts of the marrying couple. Each scene results in a happy memory; each wedding venue provides a certain kind of imagination for the marrying couple as well as infinite recognition and value for other wedding attendees. The relationship between wedding ceremonies and culture is the heterotopia of chroniques with their precise and specific functions, and the Hakka image shapes the real space of local cultures in the order of social civilization. Through Tung Flower, Miaoli County government conveys the love for earth as well as the worship of god and ancestors in a Hakka wedding, specifically expressing the emphasis on the continuation of ethnic culture and life. Through every touching wave of blue ocean strategy of Tung Flower, the unique local cultural image “exclusively in this Hakka village only” has formed, successfully building the brand feature of "Tung Flower Marriage, happy marriage forever." Tung Flower Marriage is a very successful cultural presentation resulted from collective imagination, creation, and refining to convey the connotations of Hakka culture.
