The power supply of the ceiling fan is an AC-DC converter of the flyback topology widely used in the ceiling fan based the blushless motor. The flyback converter is more efficient than the linear voltage regulator. A UC3842 controller achieves the peak current mode control and the over current protection. The design of feedback controller is implemented and tested in this thesis. The power supply shows the good stability and performance either in the operation of the Continuous Conduction Mode (CCM) and Discontinuous Conduction Mode (DCM). The fan controller uses digital hall sensor to detect 6-vector intervals of the rotors. The 16-pole brushless DC motor with the sinusoidal back Electromotive force (EMF) can deliver stable torque with a sin wave voltage by PI controller.
