However, the shortage of frequency, limited bandwidth, interference due to noises, forced termination strongly influence the quality of service of mobile and wireless communication systems. Base on the requirement of communication quality, concept of multipath has been proposed. SCTP (Stream Control Transmission Protocol) is one of the multipath protocols. At first, SCTP was use to keep the connect robust by using backup path. Once when primary path fails, backup path takes over. While considering high sensitive and heavy traffic, such as live video, not only the demanding bandwidth being huge, but also being sensitive on stability of the transmission. The requirement of multiple paths which can transmit the same traffic concurrently is proposed. In this research, the feasibility study using SCTP is first proposed. The different paths transmit same traffic with a certain ratio to achieve the same average delay among paths so as to minimize the delay jitter among all paths. Our work is divided into three parts, 1) queuing theory is used to establish the mathematic model. The path which transmits traffic via multiple node is modeled as queuing network and further simplified as a M/M/1 queue so as to calculate the traffic dispatch ratio using average delay of each different path; 2) NS2 is used to perform simulation to verify the simplification of mathematic model; 3) prototype system is developed using Java package to implement the SCTP as prototype.
