It could help people with lower-limb disabilities and the elderly change the position from sitting to standing-up for walking rehabilitation so as to satisfy the users’ needs for independently standing up and safely moving. The man-machine-environment system is utilized in this study for analyzing the situations of users and assistive devices in order to confirm needs, define problems, and find out the design specifications. Accordingly, the “walker wheelchair with stand-up assistive function” is divided into the body, the chair module, the back and arm module, and the walking assistive module as the design ideas. The model is constructed with SolidWorks. Finally, both SolidWorks and Ansys are used for analyzing or testing the “walker wheelchair with stand-up assistive function” in this study, including interposition check, actuation simulation, and stress analysis, to ensure the interposition-free conditions under various situations and understand the stress distribution being able to bear certain weights without damage. Overall speaking, the “walker wheelchair with stand-up assistive function” successfully integrates the functions of walkers and wheelchairs, effectively improves the mobility and safety of people with lower-limb disabilities and the elderly, and largely enhanced the convenience for changing from sitting position to standing-up and the walking rehabilitation to enhance the self-care ability and reduce the burden of caregivers.
