And practice is considered a basic principle of lean manufacturing, keeping study and improving continuously to eliminate waste and pursue perfection. In brief, this is the spirit of lean manufacturing, which is a good method to create value. Lean manufacturing is a concept not only for some tools application. This thesis expounds lean manufacturing application by taking a magnetic transformer manufacturing as an example, including some tools application, such as Deming PDCA cycle, value flow mapping and analysis, process balancing, Kanban management and 5S. Regarding to the tools of lean manufacturing, especially for value flow mapping and analysis, a simple and effective tool, which is just using pen and paper to figure out the overall view of flow chart by observing and analyzing on site, and find out the bottleneck and waste from each step to remove some non.added.value activities for improving and maximizing the profit. Meanwhile, key performance indicator (KPI) is recorded to monitor the improving effectiveness. This thesis introduces the lean manufacturing applied in magnetic components manufacturing process which can strongly prove the success and improvement in four production lines of D company by applying lean manufacturing.
