Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺北科技大學 === 化學工程與生物科技系化學工程碩士班(碩士在職專班) === 105 === This studies focus on the throughput stability of polyamide 66 in a single screw extrusion process by means of “cooling experiment approach” to analyze the solid and molten status of polymer in an extruder. Capillary rheometer, differential scanning calorimetry and thermogravimetric analyzer are used to get the viscosity and thermal properties of materials used in this study. From the experiment, it indicated that too much heat from the feed section barrel, which melting or softening the polymer, and then sticking to the screw of this section, would cause the throughput instability of the extrusion. In the numerical analysis, the VEL Extruder Module software by COMPUPLAST was used to determine the melting status, pressure, and temperature of the material inside the extruder. From the numerical analysis, it demonstrated that when the screw temperature of the feed section rising above the softening point of the polymer, the throughput instability of the extrusion would occur.
