For a long time, Nicaragua based its economy in agriculture as many of its neighboring countries. However, international trends, growth of new national economic sectors make Nicaragua an option to offer eco-friendly facilities. Since the country is not, yet, known internationally as a territory with eco-friendly options, it is the intention of this work to investigate from the customer perspective features which might be helpful manly for those working in the tourism sector. After applying QDF three main characteristics are highlighted: use of different source of energy, trained staff and cost of the hotels. Minimizing threatens and weaknesses is feasible since the strengths and opportunities to offer ecological hotels in the country are substantial and even greater once strategies are pointed out as observed in the SWOT analysis.
