The dairy farm introduces a Continuous Stirred Tank Reactor (CSTR) to anaerobic digestion system for biogas generation which is first used in the dairy farm wastewater treatment process in Taiwan when establishing wastewater treatment phase two. When operated at HRT: 10 days, COD influent concentration at 8267mg/L. This CSTR produces 1,313m3 biogas per day. COD removal percentage (calculate the value from biogas quantity) is less than 40%. After the investigation of the quantity and quality of wastewater, COD effluent quantity and analysis of the treatment unit function, two problems are found: 1. It includes too much ingredient of COD that is hard to decompose. 2. Settling unit performance is unsatisfying, resulting in the loss of activated sludge. Those reasons make COD removal percentage and biogas production of CSTR lower than expected. The biogas production significantly increased from 1,313 m3/d to 1,788 m3/d, and COD removal percentage (calculate the value from biogas quantity) increases from 40% to 53% after modifying the flow direction of waste water reflux, changing the characteristics of COD influent and improving the settling unit performance. Considering the contribution of the temperature, the actual production of the biogas made by CSTR increases 26.6%. The bottlenecks the dairy farm encountered and the corresponding modifications may serve as the reference in the future. 陸元平 2017 學位論文 ; thesis 68 zh-TW |
