The Influence of College Students Participation in Off-Campus Internship on Their Entrepreneurship Competencies-The Example of Electrical Engineering Field in Universities of Science and Technology

碩士 === 國立臺北科技大學 === 技術及職業教育研究所 === 105 === This research is to discuss about the affection of Off-Campus internship on Electrical Engineering Field in Universities of Science and Technology students towards ability to entrepreneurship. This research use the questionnaire from the “Entrepreneurship-Embeded Internship Program Development and Teaching Experiment for Department of Electrical and Informational Engineering in Technological Universities” research program held by Jen-Chia Chang (2015, 2016) to provide info for analysis. We target and do secondary data analysis from 372 EE-field students from sophomore to senior grades who participate in Off-Campus internships from 8 universities of technology. This research uses descriptive statistics, independent-sample t tests, one-way analysis of variance and multiple regression and statistics method of such kind to get the final results that are to be presented below: 1.Students who participate in Off-Campus internship do best at ready skills, but lack for entrepreneurial skills. 2.Senior students who participate in Off-Campus internships have better entrepreneurial competencies. 3.Students who take Innovation and Entrepreneurship Program have efficient improvement for entrepreneurial competencies. 4.Electrical engineering and computer science students who took innovation and entrepreneurship programs produced positive impact on their entrepreneurial ability. Compared to senior students, second and Junior students electrical engineering and computer science students had less impact on their entrepreneurial ability regardless of whether or not innovation and entrepreneurship programs were taken. 5.Internship exceeding 320 hours, internship in small and medium enterprises, and serving as a project planner produce positive impact on students’ entrepreneurial ability; serving as an exhibition venue assistant has less impact on students’ entrepreneurial ability.
