Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺北藝術大學 === 美術學系碩(博)士班 === 105 === My paintings aim to reveal the repressed imagination of daily life--whether glorious utopia or utter chaos--whose description defies language. It is only by diving into the depths of my psyche that I can begin to recall, restructure, and ultimately represent these experiences and emotions through my works.
This thesis consists of four chapters. In the first, I interpret my past life experience and clarify the existence of others. In the second, I address my methods used to represent emotion in my paintings and finishes by exploring the role of the real and fictional imagination. In the third, I explain my technique for reconstructing the images used in my painting, while also taking pains to dissect the differences between painting and photography. The final chapter analyzes these connections about different materials in my works. Ultimately, I conclude that the process of painting acts as an important outlet for self-growth.
