Through this transition of the playground environment and children's play behaviors in different periods of the playground to understanding the relations between the playground environment and preschooler’s play behaviors and to clarify the important factors which may influence children's play behaviors in the outdoor playground under different environment contexts. Present study conducted a collective case study design and using mixed methods include narrative observation, interview, and file collection, pass through two periods with different playground design and the follow-up period, to form children's play story. The results of the study indicated that under different environment contexts of playground there were changes of how children chose the type of plays, concrete play behaviors and materials using . The study reveal, in parts of the physical environment, that context, space planning and design element of playground and the richness of resource impact children's play behavior. In parts of the humanistic environment, that the systems of outdoor play, teachers' beliefs and role in play, and peer relations also impact the development of children's play.
