碩士 === 臺北市立大學 === 特殊教育學系 === 105 === The purpose of this study was to find out the family needs, family stress and the coping strategies in three families which had Mucopolysaccharidosis (MPS) child. This study collected the information by the case study of semistructured interviews. Interviews were conducted with the main caregivers of three families with MPS children under the age of 15. To the point of view of the main caregiver, we saw the family needs, family stress and the strategies. The findings were summarized as follows: 1.The family who had MPS child will have the needs of Medical, resource, economic and psychological, and it will vary depending on the extent of disease. 2. The family which had MPS child will have the stress of not supported 　by family, facing with the child and family, get along with school, 　physical condition of the child and economic pressure. 3.The strategies by the family which had the MPS children will vary 　depending on the source of the stress. Based on the findings, suggestions were proposed for the educators, policy-maker, government and further research. Key Words: Mucopolysaccharidosis, Family needs, Family stress, Coping Strategies
