The goals of this research include: (1) understanding the motives behind professional women's participation in marathons, (2) understanding the difficulties encountered by professional women when they participate in marathons, and how they cope with such difficulties, and (3) understanding the factors behind career women's continual participation in marathons. This research utilizes both documentary analysis and the interview method. Through purposive sampling, we selected six professional women who have had participated in marathons for indepth, semistructured interviews. After sorting and analyzing the interview results, our research has found the following: (1) The motives behind professional women's participation in marathons These include caring for physical appearances, promoting mind and body health, gaining valuable social interactions, and realizing personal goals. (2) The difficulties encountered by professional women when they participate in marathons, and how they cope with such difficulties These include interests, personal factors, family, lack of time, finance, transportation, safety, insufficient enrollment information, etc., and among them lack of time is the most significant hindrance. Coping strategies include regular training, participation with friends, maintaining good communications with friends and family, improving time management, adjusting expenditures, and careful selection of marathon events. (3) The factors behind career women's continual participation in marathons These include a sense of fulfillment for the mind and the body, enlarging one's social circle. To many, marathons have become the focus of their lives. Kwan, Wen-Yen 官文炎 2016 學位論文 ; thesis 159 zh-TW |
