Given this education policy should be changed to confront above issues with a broader society perspective. The main purpose of the study is to understand the relationship between workload and subjective well-being of class teachers of municipal elementary schools in Taoyuan City. The questionnaires were adopted in the research, and 481 valid ones and were collected with 82.3% collection rate. The data was analyzed by using stratified sampling, descriptive statistics, independent sample t test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson Correlation Coefficient, and multiple regression. The research results are as follows: I. The status of workload of class teachers working at municipal elementary schools in Taoyuan City presents as below average. II. The status of working subjective well-being of class teachers presents as above average. III. There is no significant difference of any background variables from the workload of class teachers. IV. These is a significant difference between teachers’ ages and school sizes in the subjective well-being of class teachers. V. The relationship between workload and subjective well-being of class teachers presents lower negative correlation. VI. The workload of class teachers working at municipal elementary schools in Taoyuan City has medium predictable effect for their degree of subjective well-being. Finally, the study provides the crucial conclusions and suggestions for future researchers to improve teachers’ subjective well-being.
