The physical therapists, while still focus on the treatment of patients, face challenges in equipment scheduling arrangements to avoid patient waiting and the possible following decline in the satisfaction of the care services. Manufacturing already used discrete event system simulations to maximize productivity in the manufacturing process. If this similar concept is applied to the rehabilitation division so that the physical therapists, through learning the application of the simulation system, which may help to effectively improve the congestion situation of the rehabilitation rooms. However, the awareness and the acceptance of the computer simulation by the physical therapists was still a seldom-mentioned problem. In this study, discrete event system simulation was used to simulate the rehabilitation division, a user-friendly user interface is provided to allow the interaction between the simulation model and physical therapists. Randomly selected physical therapists from Taoyuan city are trained to use this simulation model. Questionnaire are distributed to them after training to assess the degree of awareness of the physical therapists, the degree of acceptance and the effectiveness of learning simulation system.
