But, Bit Torrent ignores traffic costs at ISPs and generates a large amount of cross-ISP traffic. As a result, ISPs often throttle Bit Torrent traffic to control the cost. Ethernet passive optical network (EPON) is the best representative of the future-oriented next generation access network technologies to provide a better environment for P2P services. In this paper, the OLT is designed with a Track-Server to implement a fully functioning BitTorrent system that is able to handle all users. Furthermore, the active node between the OLT and colorless ONU support the intra-traffic redirection communication to achieve traffic localization among ONUs in the enhanced EPON is proposed. The objectives of the colorless ONU is to reduce installation cost, to keep the maintenance efforts under control and achieve the locality-aware communication.
