This study uses the semi-structured in-depth interview method by collecting the data from the oral conversation between the interviewer and the interviewee. From the perspective of the person in charge of the Yuhuazhai vegetarian restaurant and volunteers, this study learns about the roles and functions of Yuhuazhai vegetarian restaurant in the society as well as the operation and future development of Yuhuazhai vegetarian restaurant. Through the SWOT analysis, the operation strategy of Yuhuazhai vegetarian restaurant is recommended. The study finds that kindness and poverty alleviation are the main roles played by Yuhuazhai vegetarian restaurant in the society. The concept and benefit of promoting vegetarianism are the main functions of Yuhuazhai vegetarian restaurant in society. Equality for all is the main advantage of Yuhuazhai vegetarian restaurant. The financial gap is the main disadvantage of Yuhuazhai vegetarian restaurant. The prevalence of vegetarian concept is the main opportunity of Yuhuazhai vegetarian restaurant. The government's guidance and performance evaluation are more likely to become the threat of Yuhuazhai vegetarian restaurant. The management and compliance with Yuhuazhai regulations and ideas are the directions that keep Yuhuazhai vegetarian restaurant developing in the future.
