Description
Summary:碩士 === 亞太創意技術學院 === 茶陶創意研究所 === 106 === In recent 30 years, a lot of ceramic artists have devoted into the field of creating different ceramic teapot to enrich the tea ceremony due to the rise of tea application culture and the concept of refined ceramic arts in Taiwan. It also creates a new trend to the market of Taiwan teapots. Although the “beauty” and “usage” in teapot art has been improved, the “materials applicability” between tea and teapot has not been systematically discussed at a deep level, and as a result, many promoting and marketing opportunities have been missed out. This research discovers the “materials applicability” and relativity between tea and teapot. It also serves as a reference for artists in creating teapots. This research program uses a single variety of tea leaves, “Oriental Beauty Tea” as the subject. Thirty-four types of pottery clay are generally being chosen and used in making teapots that can be found in the Taiwanese pottery market at this stage. The pottery clays are made into “appreciation cups” and fired at the sintering temperature. Connoisseurs are being invited to a focused group for the experiments of tea appreciation. Test results show that the most suitable six appreciation cups for “Oriental Beauty Tea” are as follow: T23 Japanese red clay, T27 Miaoli hand-throwing clay, T07 special made Yuchi clay, T03 Linkou hand-throwing clay, T08 mixed clay (Yuli 301), and T21 Japanese Purple red clay . A perfect combination of tea and teapot represents the spirit of the teapot artist. This research model can be used on different domestic tea leaves produced in different Taiwan regions. It is also possible to look for and mine the appropriate clay for making teapots, which are supplied to the teapot artist for creating different shapes and colors. Furthermore, it can encourage locals to join the industry of teapot making in order to pair them with tea leaves produced from the same domestic region. Hence, this tea and teapot association may benefit the local-specific cultural and creative industry and deepen the related understanding of the matter. Eventually even helps to develop a local characteristic for the region.
