It is based on the law of compulsory treatment. Current regulations: Prisoners of sex offender should be transferred to designated prisons before the two years prior to parole or two years before the expiry of the sentence to do evaluation at the prisoners. According to necessity for inmate treatment.The sex offenders who have been recognized as having the danger of recidivism before the expiry of the sentence and can imprisonment of designated premises to post-incarceration treatment. The sex offenders after completion of imprisonment, parole, and probation,they must be compulsory treated after assessment. The competent authorities of municipalities, Local governments should command require them to accept community treatment under the community supervision. This study uses Document Analysis,Individual Depth Interviews,Data analysis in order to understand the current situation in Taiwan of the sex offenders to do compulsory physical and psychological treatment in designated prisons.Interviews with sex offenders,the officers who are in charge of designated prison service,and the staffs who are charge of the treament in prison. Study finds some difficulies of compulsory physical and sychological post-incarceration treatment as below: 1.Some cases are passive and denials.Cases should be encouraged to participate actively in order to improve the efficacy of treatment. 2.The abilities in study and expression affect the aborption and comprehension of the lectures. 3.The limited funds and manpower will affect the efficacy of treatment. 4.Special cases should have their own special treatment,for example Intellectual disability or mental disorder,designing for individualized treatment. Based on the above findings, make some suggestions as follow: 1.Cases with a high degree of denial should be arranged with treatment programs. 2.Encourage and spur the willings and motivation of treatment. 3.Arrange individual treatment plans according to different types of cases. 4.Increase the expenses in the number of full-time staffs and treatments. 5.Encourage family members to increase interview frequency and establish support systems. 6.Strengthen the individual consultations in advanced courses. 7.Development more evaluation tools which are suitable for our conditions.
