Polycarbonate is one kind of thermoplastic resin which has the characteristics of heating softening, cooling hardening. And fiber glass is an excellent inorganic nonmetallic material. In the elastic limit, the elongation is large and the tensile strength is also high so it can absorb huge impact energy. The properties and effeteness when thermoplastic mixes into fiber glass is well investigated here. Resin transformation molding (RTM) is a well-used and fairly mature method in the industry. The most obvious difference between polycarbonate and epoxy is that there is a large amount of ketones will be produced during heating and finally makes vacuum pressure loss. For this problem, the solution method and vacuum forming method will be adopted to improve the combination of polycarbonate and fiber glass.
