Description
Summary:碩士 === 中華大學 === 景觀建築學系 === 106 === ABSTRACT Yimin Temple is the center of religious faith for the Hakka population in Taiwan. It possesses considerable historical and cultural value, and moreover, it is the crucial field for unifing the Yimin belief in the Hakka village. In addition to improving the external environmental landscape of Yimin Temple, this research sought to preserve its spatial and cultural memories to establish an exemplary status for the temple in Hakka culture, as well as for coultural conservation and landscape quality. The fuzzy Delphi method was employed to explore the planning and design elements of Hakka temple squares, with the goals of summarizing and proposing the evaluation criteria for temple square imageries, structures, functions, changes, and landscapes. The strategy criteria for each dimension were screened, and the key decision-making criteria to be noted when selecting the planning and design strategy criteria for Hakka temple square landscapes were determined under the convergence distribution of each dimension and criterion. The results indicated that religious culture (7.52) was the most crucial key dimension, followed by temple architectural imagery (6.49), public service facilities (5.83), and landscape imagery facilities (5.52). This suggested that the design strategies for the environment and atmosphere of Hakka temple square landscapes in Taiwan should emphasize religious cultural activities. The total ranking of secondary strategy criteria of Hakka cultural heritage show that religious activities are the most crucial strategy criteria (7.86), followed by temple façade (7.81) and temple square (7.29). The planning and design strategy methods for Hakka temple squares developed in this study integrated Hakka elements to demonstrate the traditional Hakka spirit and appropriate atmosphere for the location, to reshape the new features of Yimin Temple as a significant Hakka village temple. The results of this research may be referred for the purpose of landscape planning and deisgn for Hakka temple square. Keyword: Yimin Temple, temple square, Hakka temples, fuzzy Delphi method
