Institutional Research: 2018 Star Plan and Individual Application in Taiwan’s College Entrance System Analysis - An Example of one University

碩士 === 中華大學 === 資訊管理學系 === 106 === This research applied the raw data of star plan and individual application in one of Taiwan Universities in 2018. This research utilized open data and students’ information to display with descriptive statistics. The 2018’s star plan and individual application are analyzed by the following columns, department, senior high school and address district. For the star plan, the Applied Japanese Department and Computer Science & Information Engineering Department are the most students apply for star plan. The start plan students mostly came from Hsinchu county, Hsinchu city, Taipei city and New Taipei city. For the individual plan, we integrated regional briefing attendance with the admission list and the admission waiting list. 60% individual application students will participate in regional briefing. 80% of the admission list and the admission waiting list students will participate in regional briefing. The regional briefing is helpful for students and parents to realize the university. This reveals that the Regional briefing should be hold regular. But comparing to the other university in Taiwan, just few of them hold the regional briefing . This should be an interesting issue to whom it may concern.
