Description
Summary:碩士 === 中華大學 === 電機工程學系 === 106 === Insulation degradation is a vital problem for high voltage equipment. What makes electrical insulation go bad and cause Insulation Degradation? There are so many reasons that can make Insulation Degradation happen, such as Partial Discharge、mechanical damage、electrical stress、vibration、excessive heat or cold、dirt、oil、corrosive vapors、moisture from processes and humidity on a foggy day. Partial Discharge (PD) behavior is considered to be one of the major contributors to the insulation degradation and failure of insulation system in electrical assets. In power supply system, the reliable and stable power supply plays a key role for modern industry such as Semiconductor industry、Electronics industry. What is Partial Discharge? Partial Discharge (PD) is an electrical discharge that does not completely bridge the space between two conducting electrodes. The discharge may be in a gas filled void in a solid insulating material, in a gas bubble in a liquid insulator or around an electrode in a gas. When partial discharge occurs in a gas, it is usually known as Corona Discharge. Different Partial Discharge detection techniques are applied to different physical properties of PD phenomenon. Please refer to description as below: 1. Airborne Acoustic technique is suitable method for Corona Discharge. 2. Capacitive Coupler(CC)、Transient Earth Voltage(TEV) and Ultra High Frequency (UHF) techniques are reliable for external discharge and surface discharge of Electromagnetic Wave. 3. High Frequency Current Transformer (HFCT) is placed in a ground conductor for coupling internal conducted PD signal. In this thesis, the main target is to research and develop Partial Discharge Monitoring System (PDMS) for overcoming intermittent Partial Discharge problem. How to verify Partial Discharge Monitoring System (PDMS) is very important, therefore, we used portable spot testing equipment to confirm capability and function of PDMS.
