Description
Summary:碩士 === 長榮大學 === 航運管理研究所 === 106 === In this article, we apply data envelopment analysis (DEA) to explore the efficiency of container terminals in Kaohsiung port, through the calculation of the hourly cabinet movements to check the analysis of terminal efficiency. The purpose of this article is to determine the efficiency of loading operations in container terminals in Kaohsiung. According to the results, this article is conducted in the perspective of shipping companies and container handling operation company in port to make recommendations and countermeasures. The preliminary results of this article are as follows:According to the analysis of DEA, the efficiency of port 42, port 65, port 66, port 69, port 81 and port 109 was relatively efficient; other terminal efficiency is one, as a relative inefficiency. There are three indicators in the input item, length of berth, number of gantry crane driver and number of gantry crane. The two indicators in the output item, one is loading/unloading within an hour and the other one is capacity and the annual total throughput respectively. The cause of loading operations inefficiencies within an hour is driver problems and old facilities. The loading operations and efficiency of the article, the results that the efficiency of the loading operations terminals, if the total efficiency of “1”, representative the relative efficiency; the other hand, on behalf of the relative inefficiency.
