Providing designers to work with the materials and construct their works of art in a real 3-dimensional space. When the artists come into a space that provides cultural context and historical character, in that case, allow the artists to plate the Culture and nourishing it in the contemporary art form. Finally, enhance the chance to link viewers' perception of cultural identity through history to modern time. This research based on the documental analysis and interview with the local Hsinchu educators, cultural developers, humanity researchers, governors and the citizens. This study is targeting at the exploration of viewers cognition in Hakka Culture and its influence, specifically, on the visual design aspect. Through the profound interviews and examination of historical documentary to achieve the best value of this research. It is found that the features of Hsinwawu’s Installation Art are: (1) Emphasis of historical environment by useing the hereditary Hakka Culture combined with space of Hsinwawu Culture Conservation Area. (2) Hakka aesthetics; inserts esthetics consideration with design, to bring out the ingenuity of local artists and provide them a platform for their art works. (3) Art and Ecology; Old Architecture and Installation Art are not two ordinary individuals, thus combining the two to strengthen its cultural value. (4) Characteristic of Hsinchu; not merely the topic of Hakka culture, Hsinwawu’s installation art is the feature of Hsinchu County. Adopting the perk of our location with inhabitants to reinforce the culture to its best. For the link between installation art works and cultural identity,it is concluded that: (1) The elements; shapes and patterns are two elements in design that considered straightforward to be identified by most viewers, therefore, the installation art based on visual design serves as the best reinforcement to the audiences when understanding Hakka Culture. (2) Space; the feature of installation’s dimension related with its location interacts with the viewers directly, thus an ideal space for art works will enhance the success of cultural identity. (3) The thematic propaganda; installation art with topics such as explicit theme or seasonal event also work well in enhancing cultural identity (4) Social media; ii nowadays with the innovation of technology, all sort of information can be wildly spread via the internet. Installation art happens to be one of the trendy topics in younger generation, through the hashtag and sharing location function on famous social media sites, viewers with a smartphone device can easily be our best promoter. Installation art with the rise of social media not merely makes the Hsinwawu Conservation Area in vogue, also limitlessly advocates the Hakka culture.
