In response to the advent of the new era of technology, big data technology has been widely used as an important strategy for public security. The application of big data policing in various countries is extensive, and analytical techniques are also making great progress. Taiwan's application in big data policing has become more and more mature, and it has achieved remarkable results in both crime prevention and crime investigation. It has been introduced into the field of crime investigation and combined with traditional techniques to improve the efficiency of case handling and reduce the crime rate. This study will use the application of big data as the main axis to explore how domestic police can use big data to analyze crimes and discuss its application in criminal investigation practice.
Based on the concept of planning and implementing big data system personnel, this study is supplemented by the practical application of big data to the execution of criminal investigators.It ryies to understand the use of big data analysis by investigators from the perspective of planners and practitioners. The goal is to bridge the gap between the concept of criminal investigation and planning personnel, and to solve the problems and difficulties encountered in the actual application. From the feedback to the planners, it is expected to collect a systematic and effective big data analysis model for the investigators.It is hoped to improve the performance of crime detection when using big data analysis system.
The study found that the concept of planning and implementing a big data analysis system is mainly through the aid of information technology equipment, diversified data collection,and professional information analysis, as a tool for police agencies to detect crimes and predict crimes. In the face of the bottleneck of emerging technology crimes, the investigators must also apply the big data analysis to assist the investigation by changing the thinking and methods of investigating cases, so as to adapt to the current changeable criminal methods and speed up the apprehension of suspects. At present, the planning and practical application are still in the adjustment phase. The amount of data in the database is still to be enhanced. In the future, more units must be integrated. The planning staff and the criminal investigator must coordinate adapt each other,in order to develop a more accurate data analysis system.
