In order to reduce the medical treatment cost, using the information and communication technology to manage respiratory patient care became a necessary approach. This research is aimed to build a Respiratory Care Cloud Information System to assist the medical staffs to take care respiratory patients in a timely and effective fashion. This research successfully implemented a Wi-Fi transmission device to link respirators. The device can acquire respirator setting, status, and waveform and generate a unified respiratory care data packet. The packet can be delivered to hospital information system (HIS) through wired and wireless communication channels. The fusion of respiratory information can assist respiratory therapists directly access the patients’ physical data, view the real-time status of the respirators and provide the best treatment arrangement.
