碩士 === 中原大學 === 企業管理研究所 === 106 === The objective of this study was to investigate the design and implementation of a smart factory and analyze how factories in the manufacturing industry should cope with this trend of smart operations. In the present, integration of information technology is still at a nascent stage in the manufacturing industry. How to build a smart factory remains an unresolved issue. As a result, the manufacturing industry may confront numerous difficulties in the implementation of a smart factory. The case study method was adopted using the smart factory of Chin Fong Company as an example. This study attempted to explore the implementation methods of a smart factory and provide a reference for other companies in the manufacturing industry. Results showed that practicality, understanding of needs, step-by-step implementation,and making changes to areas that really need smart operations are critical in the establishment of a smart factory. Company planning to implement a smart factory solution is therefore suggested to identify their needs first and then invest resources to progressively build a smart factory.
