碩士 === 中原大學 === 教育研究所 === 106 === Abstract The main purpose of this study was to discuss the relationships between graduate student’s life stress and personal competitiveness in Chung Yuan Christian University. The study was conducted in questionnaire survey with self-designed “Questionnaire of graduate student’s life stress and personal competitiveness in Chung Yuan Christian University.” The survey is targeted at the graduate student’s in Chung Yuan Christian University, and uses Census to select samples. Total of 525 questionnaires were sent out , 510 questionnaires returned, 510 were valid. The valid recovering rate was 100％. For analyzing and studying questionnaire data, statistical methods such us descriptive statistics, t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson product- moment correlation, and multiple regression analysis were carried out. 　　The conclusions of the study were summarized as below： 1. Life Stress in Chung Yuan Christian University is generally not high of Graduate student’s. 2. Personal Competitiveness in Chung Yuan Christian University have good evaluation of Graduate student’s. 3. Graduate student’s did vary with the different personal background elements in Life Stress. 4. Graduate student’s did vary with the different personal background elements in Personal Competitiveness. 5. There is a low positive correlation between life stress and personal competitiveness of Graduate student’s in Chung Yuan Christian University. 6. Life stress could predict personal competitiveness and the data was about 6% to 15%. According to the research findings, this study provides suggestions to the life stress, personal competitiveness and future studies.
