In order to help consumers conserve money and energy, this study uses the method of message publishing and broadcasting combined with power monitoring to comprise a smart power monitoring system. Users can monitory the energy consumption of their electrical appliances with data received by mobile phones.This study attempts to use MQTT protocol and Bluetooth protocol as the basis of communication, and combine smart phones, Raspberry Pi 3, Arduino, and a power monitoring circuit to complete the smart power monitoring system. This system is divided into two parts: a power monitoring system, and the MQTT system. The power monitoring system uses the power monitoring circuit to read the electrical energy consumption and send data to the MQTT system by Bluetooth protocol. The MQTT system connects the internet to transmit power information to the smart phone. Users can make informed decisions about how to use each appliance.
