Older people spend most of their time at home, relying heavily on the architectural design of the home and the facilities or equipment provided in the home. Many studies in the world have shown that elderly people are related to their living conditions and quality of life during the aging process. Therefore, this study focuses on the differences in the quality of life between the elderly residence and at home of aging in place. The structured questionnaire, including basic information and the "WHOQOL-BREF", was used to interview 211 community elders and 69 elderly people in the elderly institutions. The results of the study, using descriptive statistics, independent sample t-test, single-factor variance analysis, showed that the quality of life was the highest in terms of "environmental interaction", and the second was "physical health", "social relationship" and "mental health". The three factors of "mental health", "physiological health" and "social relationship" of elders in the elderly residence are higher than those living at home in the community. And based on the above, the recommendations are as follows, The recommendations for the senior policy: 1. Improvement of transportation, medical services in the eastern and outlying areas. 2. Encourage community design, organization, and long-term group activities. 3. Create job opportunities for seniors. 4. Encourage the construction of localized elderly housing to increase the quality of life of the elderly. The recommendations for institutions related to senior citizens: 1. Encourage participation in group activities within the organization. 2. Construction of silver hair care service apartment sales. The recommendations for senior citizens: 1. Moderate exercise, dietary adjustment and regular life to change sleep. 2. Good financial management planning. 3.
