The purpose of the research is to integrate the picture books into the music teaching to design and implement. Exploring whether it is feasible to integrate picture books into the music teaching in elementary schools. At the same time, it will explore whether it is possible to enhance the students’ interest in music learning and whether students' learning effectiveness will be improved.The process of this action research was consisted of continuing actions, observations, reflections, and modifications. Based on the results and implementation, including instructional design, learning sheets, discussion with observers, interviews with students, the cycle of reflections about teaching, the attitude questionnaire of the musical learning, the conclusions were by the followings: The findings of the study are as follows: (1) It is feasible to integrate the picture books into the music teaching as teaching method in the middle-grade of elementary schools. (2) Picture-book teaching can improve students' learning effectiveness in the middle-grade music curriculum of elementary schools. (3) Picture-book teaching can improve students' learning attitude in the middle-grade music curriculum of elementary schools. (4) The action research that implemented picture book into musical instruction could promote professional development of teachers and integrate music into students’ life. Based on the above findings, the researcher proposed specific suggestions as references for further research and for educators.
