Simultaneously, analyzed the differences of different demographic variables in all of them mentioned above. Taking samples of retired teachers in New Taipei City for purposive sampling. Total 450 questionnaires were distributed. 439 valid questionnaires were retrieved with an effective response rate of 98%. The statistic software SPSS Statistics (Chinese version) was used for data analysis. The statistical methods included descriptive statistic, independent-samples t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson product-moment correlation, and regression analysis. The major findings of this study were summarized as follows. The different demographic variables have partial significant differences in leisure participation, attitude toward aging, social support, and the meaning of life. Leisure participation has a significant positive correlation with aging attitude, social support and life significance. The “emotional support" and “informative support” of social support have significant positive effect on the meaning of life. “Toolistic support” has a significant negative effect on the meaning of life. The “emotional support” and “informative support” of social support have significant positive effect on the aging attitude. “Tool support” has a significant negative effect on the aging attitude. Aging attitude has a significant positive effect on the meaning of life. Aging attitude and social support can effectively predict the meaning of life. Meanwhile, the “emotional support” dimension of social support has the best prediction. Regarding mediator effect, social support has partial mediation on the relationships between aging attitude and the meaning of life. Aging attitude has partial mediation on the relationships between social support and the meaning of life. The results of this study have filled gaps in research literature on leisure participation, aging attitudes, and social support to the meaning of life. It is also expected to provide retired teachers themselves and government departments as a reference for improving the mental health of retired teachers. The study makes up the gaps of previous studies in using leisure participation, aging attitudes, and social support to the meaning of life. Hoping the results of the reserch will provide other retired teachers and relevant government departments as the reference for improving the mental health of retired teachers.
