Description
Summary:碩士 === 逢甲大學 === 航太與系統工程學系 === 106 === In this research, both carbon nanotubes (CNT) and vapor-grown carbon fibers have been used for making carbon films. The method of vacuum-assisted filtration was adopted. To make composites, a type of epoxy resin was impregnated into the carbon films. After curing, the composites were cut into suitable sample sizes for bending, tearing, and tensile tests. To study the influence of the ratio between CNT and VGCF, in this work, we designed 5 CNT/VGCF ratios and 3 area weights. From the testing results, we compare their load-deformation relation and maximum bending, tearing, and tensile strengths of different samples. After the tests, we used FE-SEM to examine their internal micro-structures, fiber distribution, the resin impregnation, and the induced fracture surfaces. The fracture sections of VGCF were also studied.
