Description
Summary:碩士 === 逢甲大學 === 運輸與物流學系 === 106 === In order to improve road safety and driver’s driving skill, Directorate General of Highways(DGH), Ministry of Transportation and Communication(MOTC) decide to reform the driving license test. Since March,2016, DGH started the second stage of practical road driving test for the driver license, and there are more than 8,000 people participated. Then, it was waiting until the next year May 1st, 2017, DGH started the official practical driving test. It means that the all of participants have to pass both the court driving test and the practical road driving test to get the official driving licenses. This study will focus on the practical driving test in Taiwan in 2016. The data involved 3,404 test score forms and 2,453 questionnaires of participants. However, there are only 2,108 data can be used in this study after data selection. First, the study will apply the chi-squared test to analyze the test score forms and questionnaires. Second, the study will apply Logistic Regression to find out the impact factors of the practical driving test which the odds ratio will show the degree of impact. The results of the study indicated that there are six significant factors of the practical driving test such as the category of vehicle, satisfaction of driving, understanding of the practical driving test, the practical driving test will be useful, gender, and the training hours of the practical driving. This study shows that the practical driving test is acceptable and supported by public. Also, in order to improve the driver’s practical driving skill, defensive driving skill, and driving morality, the training hours of practical driving during the driving education should not be reduced.
