In this study, the mounting yield indicates if the suction nozzle puts parts on flat. Control variables include mounting speed, distance from nozzle to jig, anti-vacuum pressure, and fixture-positioning pin diameter. In the experiment study, Taguchi method is applied to analyze the influence of control parameters, and thereby to obtain the optimal set of parameter combination. Accordingly, the optimal set of parameters is: mounting speed = 2.0 Sec/1pcs, diatance from nozzle to jig = 0mm, anti-vacuum pressure = 30Kpa, positioning pin diameter = 0.97mm. The result shows that the proposed method can increase mounting yield as well as increase automated production, and consequently, achieve the goal of cost down.
