In addition, many colleges are faced with the predicament of stopping the enrollment because of the small number of students. In view of these conditions, this study aims to investigate the factors of selecting schools for freshmen in technological and vocational colleges. This study is based on college students, their parents, and teachers in vocational high schools in Taiwan. It first discusses the relevant literature on school-selection factors, and then extracts six major factors, including “personal factors”, “other people’s influences”, “promotion strategies”, “school branding”, “employment advantages”, and “living conditons”, and twenty-six minor related factors. These questionnaire was designed and analyzed by the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP). A total number of 140 questionnaires were distributed, and 117 questionnaires were effectively collected. The results of the study shows that the major factor of the "personal factors" is the most important. In the following sequence of importance are "employment advantages", "school branding", " other people’s influences", "living conditions", and "promotion strategies". The top three minor related factors are "personal interest and expertise", "graduates having better job performance in the industry" and "personal test scores", while "providing international exchange opportunities" and "advertising sales methods" and "celebrity as a call" are the least important minor related factors.
