According to this, facing LGBT cases is inevitable to clinical psychologist. Past research focus on medical useage or spread of AIDS, rarely concerned about coming out. Even if there is, it may focus on how coming out affect individual’s living domain, lack of how individual experience in whole course. Besides, different lesbian style may lead to different consideration of coming out. Without this, understanding of lesbian’s coming out course stay on surface. Therefore, this study attempt to use phenomenology, aim for the coming out experience of Tomboy, Femme and Androgynous. Method: Three different style of lesbian, two for each category, total 6 subjects. Each subject participate 60-90 mimutes interview. All interview is recorded and transcribed. The modified step of phenomenological analysis suggested by Li & Lai(2009) is used to analyze the verbatim text. Result: Our result indicate different lesbian style subjects facing tradition heterosexual society framework which cause subjects feel uncomfortable and be restricted. Tomboys encounter major deviation from tradition female frame, which means tomboys have to gain more resources to make sure her life can be settled well, after that Tomboys may chose to coming out. Femmes have few deviation from tradition female frame, this make femmes have to put a lot of effort in coming out course. Androgynous subjects worried about appearance being discussed and influences social relationship. To avoid that circumstances, androgynous subjects tend to dress up like heterosexual woman. But this strategy let social relationship lead to a gap. To summarize, a general structure of different style lesbian coming out experience demonstrate a “position not found” situation. Describe as subjects depart from heterosexual social context, vacillate in “position not found” experience structure, subjects might facing anxiety and perplexing. Discussion: (1) Formation of self image is dynamic and bidirectional, self-identity and lesbian style are vary with environment or partner. (2) To tomboys and femmes, style can provide social coordinate, but androgynous may consider this is a rigid matching and cannot find her own position.
