Description
Summary:碩士 === 輔英科技大學 === 護理系碩士班 === 106 === Background:Gait instability and disability are the most common complications suffered by stroke patients leading to an impaired quality of life (QoL), altered rehabilitation outcomes, and an increased the problems with activities of daily living. Many studies have shown that qigong-assisted rehabilitation exercise can improve the muscle strength and balance of stroke patients, but it is necessary to further examine its effective evidence and substantive results. Objective: The purpose of this research was to contact qigong exercise on activities of daily living, gait, balance, depression and duality of life in rehabilitation patients with stroke by systematic review and meta-analysis Methods: Electronic literature search of Pubmed, The Cochrane Library, Embase, CINAHL Plus with Full Text, Medline, Web of Science (WOS) and Chinese Electronic Periodical services, China Journal Full-text Database (CNKI), Index to Taiwan Periodical Liteature System, National Digital Library of Theses and Dissertations in Taiwan. Total 11 databases research articles were included for this study. We included all randomized controlled trials that compared qigong with standard care, evaluating rehabilitation outcomes in patients with stroke. Studies were screened for inclusion criteria, and exclusion non-Chinese or English languages. Result: From 23173 potentially relevant records, 43 studies were assessed for eligibility, and 28 met the inclusion criteria, of which 26 contained appropriate data for meta-analysis. Overall, random-effects meta-analyses suggested significant effects of qigong on daily activities 〔SMD=0.121, 95%CI(0.814,1.287),p<0.001〕; balance function〔SMD=1.510, 95%CI(0.783 , 2.238),p =0.001〕; gait function〔SMD=0367, 95%CI(0.086 ,0.648),p =0.010〕; depression〔SMD=0.367, 95%CI(0.086 ,0.648),p =0.010〕;and quality of life 〔SMD=0.497, 95%CI(0.157, 0.837),p =0.004〕. Conclusions and recommendations: The result of this study was suggested that qigong exercise training could improve the daily activities of cerebral apoplexy, gait balance, reduce depression and improve the quality of life. In addition, the study integrated qigong main principle of exercise prescription from 15 minutes, 5 times per week for 10 weeks. Further study is needed to help medical staffs better advice patients on the effects of qigong for rehabilitation patients with stroke.
