This paper develops and implements an AC-DC LED driver with power-factor correction. In addition, the magnetic inductance of the transformer inside the LED driver is designed to operate at discontinuous-conduction mode, and power-factor correction is inherently obtained. Moreover, the harmonics of input current meets the IEC 61000-3-2 class C requirements. This paper has analyzed operational modes in the presented AC-DC LED driver and implements a 72W (36V/2A)-rated LED prototype circuit with an input utility-line voltage of 110 V. The experimental results of the prototype driver show that a power factor of 0.9816, a current THD of 12.094%, an output-voltage ripple factor of 9.7%, and an output-current ripple factor of 11.22% can be obtained. Thus, the functionality of the presented LED driver is verified. Chun-An Cheng 鄭竣安 2018 學位論文 ; thesis 50 zh-TW
