Among them, falls are the second largest cause. The average number of deaths caused by falls each year is 335.1. Among these people, the elderly over 65 account for 43.81%. Nearly half of the elderly fell down in their house; there among toilets, living rooms, and bedrooms, etc. were the most likely places to fall, while the elderly had the highest mortality due to falls and the higher the age. Therefore, this study explores the “decision-making process of the elderly''s home environment improvement” by qualitative research methods. The family of 65-year-old elders who have considered home improvement in their homes will be interviewed. 16 households and 19 respondents were interviewed. I will discuss the process of considering home improvement, how to apply for subsidies, actually improving the construction, and not considering the improvement after construction. The research results show that people, affairs and funds are the most important factors in the decision-making process, and whether the way resources are obtained is also one of the main factors of decision-making. At present, the actual workplace field also finds the dilemma of the government''s application method and the insufficient budget. Based on the research results, the following suggestions are made. If the government provides more service models, it will be able to provide more family help. For example, family-based welfare services, integrating the cumbersome and chaotic application of the elderly; using a more diverse community network to provide information, the availability of resources will be our service focus; simplifying the application method, reducing .The complexity of the application process and the waiting time will increase the willingness of the people to apply. Promote cooperation with government agencies in civil units, reduce service disruptions, increase public information channels, and increase employee benefits to include the needs of caring for older family members. Face up to the needs of the people and strengthen the creation of home security. Zhen-gzhi Chen 陳政智 2018 學位論文 ; thesis 106 zh-TW
