A Study on the Impact of Chinese Guanxi on Business Performance

When faced with a lack of " Guanxi " with a specific object, it often tries to establish a " Guanxi" through the introduction of the intermediaries and enter the network of relationships. In the business activities such as Chinese business management and organizational behavior, "Guanxi" also plays a key role. The purpose of this study is to explore the impact of “Guanxi” on the financial performance and non-financial performance of business operations in Taiwan. It is an exploratory study. The questionnaire survey method is used to collect the opinions of respondents, and finally the research is conducted by Pearson correlation analysis and regression analysis. The research object was Taitung County enterprises. During the questionnaire survey period, from February to April 2018, 350 questionnaires were issued, and 271 valid questionnaires were valid. The effective recovery rate was 77.43%. The Pearson correlation coefficient analysis test results show that the degree of relationship is negatively correlated with the degree of trust, non-financial and human level, and the other facets are positively correlated. The results of regression analysis show that the three sub-structures of “Guanxi” face the regression model of financial business performance, and the results are not consistent; the degree of trust has a significant positive impact on financial performance, but the degree of affection and degree of humanity are significant for financial performance.
